Validation Engineer

Our client, a leader in high-speed transceiver technology, is seeking a Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting silicon validation and characterization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: San Jose, CA

What's the Job?

• Develop characterization and silicon validation plans for high-speed transceivers
• Define methodologies for characterization and validation of high-speed serial systems
• Characterize high-speed SERDES using automated flows and data analysis
• Create detailed characterization reports and analyze pre-silicon versus silicon measurements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve capability, productivity, and quality

What's Needed?

• Experience in characterizing PLL, CDR, TX/RX analog front-end components
• Hands-on laboratory experience with equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and BERTs
• Knowledge of transceiver electrical compliance testing (e.g., PCIE, IEEE 802.3, OIF-CEI)
• Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and FPGA/SOC architectures
• Understanding of PCB schematic and layout design principles
