Associate Project Manager

Our client, a leader in the life sciences industry, is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join their team. As an Associate Project Manager, you will be part of the Project Management department supporting product development, manufacturing, and lab operations teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Associate Project Manager

Location: Carlsbad, California (onsite)

Pay Range:$34-36/hr on W2

Duration: 6 Month contract

What's the Job?

  • Provide project management support to Lead Project Managers, working cross-functionally across multiple teams for product development, manufacturing, and lab operations.
  • Create process maps and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop project plans or tracking systems, analyze data, and make informed recommendations to improve project outcomes.
  • Support SKU setup and process improvements related to project work, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
  • Apply knowledge of biological technologies such as cell biology, gene editing, genetic engineering, and stem cell biology to various projects.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience in the life sciences sector, focusing on product management and quality assurance within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to critical bioproduction and research operations, specifically biological technologies like cell biology, gene editing, and genetic engineering.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, along with excellent communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
