Database Administrator

Our client, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Administrator to join their dynamic team. As a Database Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Data Management Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a passion for maintaining data integrity and security, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $48-$50/hour

What's the Job?

• Manage and optimize SQL Server, Oracle, and MariaDB databases to ensure high performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, job failures, and space management challenges independently.
• Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery procedures to safeguard organizational data.
• Collaborate with application teams to support upgrades, configurations, and high-availability environments such as clustering and replication.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI, and recommend automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL Server environments (2012-2023) and strong T-SQL scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security management.
• Experience configuring and operating within high-availability environments including clustering, replication, and mirroring.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex database issues and manage ticket queues effectively.
• Familiarity with database tools such as Idera, and knowledge of licensing for SQL and Oracle systems is a plus.
