Food Quality Assurance Technician

Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the production process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of quality and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Downingtown, PA. ONSITE.

Pay Range: $22/hr on w2

Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some Saturdays as needed.

Duration: Initially approved through fiscal year (8/3/26) and expected to extend until 12/31.

What's the Job?

  • Monitor the production process and product quality through sensory, weight control, and analytical methods to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Evaluate finished products regarding moisture, ingredient content, color, package fill, weights, seal integrity, and overall quality.
  • Perform and document routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, utilizing testing equipment for validation and calibration.
  • Communicate any out-of-compliance situations and product standards to production teams and supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to safety and hygiene guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and following safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment.

What's Needed?

  • Some laboratory or quality assurance experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform routine biological or chemical analytical tests accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
  • Ability to work on-site during scheduled hours, including some Saturdays as needed.
  • Experience with safety procedures and proper handling of testing chemicals and equipment.
