Network / System Engineer III (Data Engineer Focus)

Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and experienced Network / System Engineer III (Data Engineer focus) with strong expertise in UNIX environments, Python development, and production support.

This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, deep system knowledge, and the ability to support data platforms and services in a production environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of:
  • UNIX operating systems
  • Shell scripting
• Proficiency in Python, including:
  • pip and conda package management
  • Dependency management and troubleshooting
• Experience with:
  • SMTP services
  • Autosys job scheduling
• Strong troubleshooting skills:
  • Log analysis
  • Service-level debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Load Balancers
  • FDNS (Flexible DNS)
• Knowledge of:
  • Security certificates
• Familiarity with:
  • Jupyter notebooks
  • Oracle and/or MongoDB databases
• Prior experience in Production Support environments

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain data engineering and system environments
• Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues:
  • Analyze logs
  • Identify root causes
  • Resolve production incidents
• Manage Python environments and dependencies using pip and conda
• Monitor and maintain scheduled jobs using Autosys
• Work with SMTP-based services and integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
• Support load balancing, DNS configurations, and certificate management
• Ensure stability and uptime of production systems
