Data Business Analyst
Location - Greensboro, NC (Onsite)
We are seeking a skilled Data Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical data solutions. This role focuses on eliciting, documenting, analyzing, and prioritizing requirements to design and support scalable data architectures, integrations, and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product stakeholders and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance business performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, product managers, and data engineers to elicit, document, and understand business and data requirements
- Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support the design and delivery of end-to-end data solutions, including data pipelines, ETL processes, ingestion, and reporting
- Provide expertise in data requirements, data modeling, and alignment with business objectives and technical capabilities
- Validate requirements through analysis, proof-of-concept support, and stakeholder presentations
- Assist in integrating data solutions with existing systems and processes
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and resolution of data-related business issues
- Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation, best practices, training materials, and process flows
- Stay current with emerging data technologies, tools, and industry trends, with a focus on business impact
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in data or IT environments
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and business process analysis
- Hands-on experience with data concepts and cloud data platforms
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or platforms such as Databricks is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex business and technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Goal-oriented with a positive, results-driven mindset
