Software Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Test Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of embedded software systems supporting cutting-edge automotive solutions. 

Job Title: Software Test Engineer (Automotive) 

Location: Irvine, California (On Site)

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and execute automated testing scripts for embedded automotive applications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test automation environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, performance, and stress testing to ensure software robustness.
• Review, analyze, and publish detailed test results for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug issues and enhance testing workflows.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software validation and system testing leadership.
• Proficiency in Python (Pytest) and automation framework development.
• Extensive experience testing embedded Linux and Android applications.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS, SomeIP).
