Overview
We’re partnering with a CIO organization with one of our banking clients to add a Technical Business Manager who will operate in a highly visible role supporting executive leadership.

While this role sits within a business management function, the primary focus is on executive communications and storytelling—translating complex technical initiatives into clear, concise messaging for senior leadership, town halls, and all-hands communications.

This person will work closely with an Executive and senior technology leaders to shape how the organization communicates strategy, priorities, and progress across the enterprise.

  • Translate complex technical updates into clear, executive-ready narratives
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and senior leaders to craft messaging for town halls, all-hands, and strategic updates
  • Review and refine presentations directly with executives to ensure clarity, tone, and alignment

  • Help structure key updates across portfolios (program status, transformation initiatives, roadmap progress)
  • Ensure messaging is consistent and aligned across the broader technology organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering leaders, program managers, and business stakeholders to gather inputs and synthesize information
  • Operate across the CIO organization—this role is not siloed to a single team

Operational & Business Management Support (Secondary)

  • Contribute to status tracking, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
  • Support key initiatives and leadership deliverables as needed
  • (Light exposure) budgeting, headcount tracking, and operational metrics

What We’re Looking For

  • ~8–12+ years of experience in a business management, Chief of Staff, or strategic operations role supporting technology organizations - Familiarity with technology organizations (software, engineering, infrastructure, cloud, etc.)
  • Exceptional PowerPoint skills — ability to build clear, polished, executive-level presentations (this is critical)
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly messaging
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership or C-suite stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on clarity, structure, and storytelling
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment across multiple stakeholders

Why This Role

  • High visibility within the CIO organization
  • Direct interaction with executive leadership
  • Opportunity to shape how a large technology organization communicates strategy and progress
  • Ideal for someone who enjoys blending technology understanding with storytelling and executive presence
