LAB Technician II

Our client, a manufacturing and materials-focused organization, is seeking a LAB Technician II to join their team. As a LAB Technician II, you will be part of the production and technical support group, supporting hands-on nonwovens process work and material characterization. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, a safety-first mindset, and the drive to learn and improve in a team-based environment—so you can help develop specialized nonwovens processes and products.

What's the Job?

• Configure, operate, and maintain pilot-scale process equipment with a nonwovens focus, including roll-to-roll web processing and related fiber processing activities.
• Measure the properties of and characterize nonwoven materials off the production line to support technical development and product performance.
• Maintain detailed record keeping and clearly communicate technical work, results, and observations.
• Follow and help develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent, repeatable outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while performing material handling tasks, including lifting pails, moving pallets, and other assigned duties.

What's Needed?

• At least one (1) year of technician experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• At least one (1) year of experience operating manufacturing equipment or working in a trades role.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and willingness to follow required safety practices.
• Comfort working with moderately sized equipment and larger equipment rather than only small bench-top setups.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
