Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled QA Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts validating the functionality, reliability, and performance of critical trading and financial front-office applications.

The ideal candidate will have direct testing experience within a Capital Markets environment. However, we are also highly open to strong, core QA Automation Engineers who possess exceptional scripting capabilities in Python or Java.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Development: Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automated test cases for high-performance front-office systems, including trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), and market data feeds.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with front-office business users, application developers, and cross-functional QA peers to translate fast-moving business requirements into clear testing priorities.

  • Execution & Validation: Perform comprehensive functional, regression, and integration testing pipelines to ensure continuous application stability, data accuracy, and system performance.

  • Defect Management: Analyze automated test results, isolate root causes of software defects, and collaborate directly with development teams to ensure swift remediation.

  • Compliance & Audit Alignment: Ensure all automated test coverage perfectly aligns with underlying business processes and regulatory compliance standards. Thoroughly document test plans, datasets, and execution results for audit trails.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Automation Foundation: Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch utilizing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar enterprise frameworks.

  • Scripting Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on programming or scripting skills in Python or Java (strong JavaScript experience will also be considered). Must be confident in live coding scenarios.

  • Domain Context (Preferred): A solid understanding of capital markets, trading workflows, financial instruments, and real-time market data systems is highly preferred.

  • Modern SDLC Practices: Familiarity working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies and integrating test suites into continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills to interface effectively between technical developers and business stakeholders.
