Commercial Banking Solutions Architect

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an Application Architect to join their team. As an Application Architect, you will be part of the Technology Solutions department supporting Corporate Channels, Payments, Accounting Services, and Commercial Card domains. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:  Charlotte, NC, Chicago IL, Plano TX 

What's the Job?

• Define an architectural vision and develop solution architecture aligned with business strategies and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and meet strategic goals.
• Rapidly develop high-level architecture designs, refining details as requirements evolve.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability are met.
• Operate as an individual contributor, providing clarity and guidance to development teams on architectural aspects.

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of experience in Banking/Financial Services technology, with a focus on commercial banking domains.
• Strong knowledge of Payments, Commercial Card, Corporate Channels, and Liquidity Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience with API design, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern development languages such as Java, .NET, Python, and JavaScript frameworks.
