Workday Staff Accountant

Our client, a dynamic organization in the technology and finance sector, is seeking a Workday Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Workday Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Corporate Accounting department supporting global financial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Workday Staff Accountant
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $34-$37/hr
Duration: 6 months

What's the Job?

  • Execute key activities in the monthly and quarterly close processes for Payables and Infrastructure accounting.
  • Manage vendor and PO accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets across multiple global entities.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and aging schedules for key GL accounts.
  • Support audit and SOX compliance by preparing PBCs, reconciliations, and explanations of account movements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization of financial procedures related to infrastructure and payables.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, with experience in accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Workday financials.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
