Behavioral Data Acquisition Technician

Our client, a leader in pet health and wellness, is seeking a Behavioral Data Acquisition Technician to join their team. As a Behavioral Data Acquisition Technician, you will be part of the Digital Solutions Group supporting research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Behavioral Data Acquisition Technician

Location:St.Louis, MO (Remote)

Pay Range: $18/hr - $21/hr

What's the Job?

  • Collect and label behavioral data from video recordings of pets interacting with connected pet products.
  • Align video-labeled behavior data with sensor data to support AI development.
  • Work collaboratively with pet experts and technical teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Utilize behavior coding software or manual processes to annotate pet behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality datasets that enable insights into pet health and wellness.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Psychology, Animal Science, or a related discipline, with emphasis on Animal Behavior, or relevant experience in behavioral data collection and labeling.
  • Experience with behavior coding software (e.g., Noldus, Mangold) or manual labeling processes.
  • Research experience involving animals or human subjects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in behavioral data collection or analysis.
