Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Capacity Analyst to support a large-scale technology portfolio. This role focuses on tracking, analyzing, and optimizing resource capacity and budget allocation across a multimillion-dollar technology spend. You will play a key role in driving visibility, accuracy, and efficiency across portfolio planning and financial performance.
 
What’s the Job?

  • Track and manage capacity across a diverse technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities
  • Support financial oversight of a multimillion-dollar budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting
  • Maintain and enhance capacity and budget tracking tools, primarily in Excel
  • Analyze resource utilization trends and provide insights to improve efficiency and allocation
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide visibility into capacity, spend, and performance metrics
  • Partner with technology leaders, finance teams, and project managers to ensure accurate planning and reporting
  • Identify risks, gaps, or inefficiencies in capacity and recommend solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting and tracking processes
 
What’s Needed?
  • 3+ years of experience in capacity planning, financial analysis, or portfolio support (technology environment preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, reporting)
  • Experience tracking and managing budgets, ideally within a multimillion-dollar environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex data sets accurately
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting technology or IT portfolios
  • Familiarity with capacity planning tools or financial systems
  • Experience building dashboards or visual reporting (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
