Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer, you will be an integral part of the IT department supporting critical data migration and process modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to collaboration, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer with SAS

Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 days on-site and 2 days remote)

What's the Job?

• Convert mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ensuring seamless migration of legacy workflows.
• Design and develop Oracle-based data-processing logic to optimize business operations.
• Create and support Java UI components for ongoing process maintenance and user interaction.
• Utilize Python to automate tasks, handle data processing, and support migration activities.
• Collaborate with the technology manager for project planning, reporting, and delivery oversight within an Agile environment.

What's Needed?

• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development, with proven experience in data migration projects.
• Experience supporting or converting Mainframe SAS workflows to modern platforms.
• Working proficiency with Python for automation and data handling tasks.
• Familiarity with Java-based applications and supporting UI development.
• Experience using JIRA or similar workflow management tools, with a self-motivated and independent work ethic.
