Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. What's the Job?
- Analyze financial information and prepare detailed financial reports to assess organizational assets, liabilities, and profitability.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, providing periodic reports comparing projected costs to actual expenses.
- Ensure compliance by computing taxes owed and preparing accurate tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Examine accounting records, financial statements, and reports to verify accuracy and adherence to reporting standards.
- Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in accounting or related financial disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and analyze business trends to project future revenues and expenses.
