Accountant

Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will enable you to thrive within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Analyze financial information and prepare detailed financial reports to assess organizational assets, liabilities, and profitability.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, providing periodic reports comparing projected costs to actual expenses.
• Ensure compliance by computing taxes owed and preparing accurate tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Examine accounting records, financial statements, and reports to verify accuracy and adherence to reporting standards.
• Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in accounting or related financial disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and analyze business trends to project future revenues and expenses.
