Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2

Our client, a leader in the technology and data management industry, is seeking a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2 to join their dedicated team. As a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2, you will be an integral part of the Data Center Operations supporting the logistics and inventory management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2
Location: Boydton, VA
Duration: 18 Months on W2
Pay Range: $27 - $29/hr + Benefits & PTO
Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)

What's the Job?

  • Perform assigned tasks related to physical inventory tracking and staging within the data center environment.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with data center regulatory standards through inventory cycle audits and data corrections.
  • Assist in the destruction of data-bearing devices following documented procedures and runbooks.
  • Monitor systems for equipment failure or errors, and respond promptly to resolve issues.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or IT environment.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Previous experience working in a data center environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
