Product Owner ( SCF Data and API)

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Product Owner (SCF Data and API) to join their dynamic team. As a Product Owner (SCF Data and API), you will be part of the Data & API Platform Development team supporting the modernization and integration efforts within Commercial Banking. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Product Owner (SCF Data and API)

Location: Irving, Texas; Charlotte, NC

What's the Job?

• Own the product roadmap and backlog for a new Data & API platform within Commercial Banking.
• Lead data migration efforts from multiple legacy systems, including understanding legacy data schemas and mapping data to new models.
• Define how data is passed downstream to consuming systems, ensuring data integrity and usability across the enterprise.
• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams on API design, backend integration patterns, and data platform standards.
• Translate complex technical requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, managing dependencies across multiple workstreams.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager on data-heavy or platform products.
• Strong experience with data platforms, API-based integrations, and system-to-system data flows.
• Hands-on experience with data migration or platform modernization initiatives.
• Ability to understand and explain data models, schemas, and object definitions.
• Strong Agile experience, including backlog management, refinement, and sprint support.
