Our client, a leading organization in the technology operations sector, is seeking a Service Support Analyst to join their team. As a Service Support Analyst, you will be part of the IT Operations department supporting mission-critical server environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to service improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology teams and vendors within the Information Technology Operations Command Center.
  • Monitor enterprise-wide alerts, acknowledge events, and perform incident and change management activities.
  • Troubleshoot server issues using available knowledge resources and collaborate with engineers for resolution.
  • Support and recover distributed infrastructure, document actions, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Assist in supporting routine production problems, perform changes within guidelines, and update internal ticketing systems.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a large 24x7 high availability data center environment managing over 1000 servers.
  • Knowledge of server operating systems, load balancers, and network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Perl, or Tk, and familiarity with service management tools like Remedy/SmartIT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience in implementing ITIL or similar frameworks.
