Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their team. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be part of the Core Deposits team supporting critical Data Distributor Deposits applications. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Support and maintain the Data Distributor, NOVA, and SD applications within the Core Deposits team.
  • Modify existing COBOL programs to meet product and business requirements, including enhancements, fixes, and regulatory updates.
  • Validate and distribute data to Hogan IDS, including managing nightly batch processing.
  • Develop and maintain JCL for batch jobs and production workflows.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate with product partners, and support production issues to ensure application stability.

What's Needed?

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, particularly in a mainframe environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of COBOL development, VSAM, and JCL.
  • Experience working with legacy, highly customized mainframe applications.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting batch-heavy overnight processing and familiarity with financial services systems is a plus.
