Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2 to join their dynamic team. As a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2, you will be an integral part of the Data Center Operations team supporting critical infrastructure and logistics functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 2
Location: Northlake, IL
Duration: 18 Months on W2
Pay Range: $28 - $30/hour + Benefits & PTO
Day Shift A: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue)

What's the Job?

  • Monitor and respond to system alerts related to equipment performance and failures
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and rack movement activities
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory tracking and staging, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and support certification activities within the Data Center
  • Assist with the destruction of data-bearing devices following established procedures and runbooks

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or IT environment
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Previous experience working in a data center environment preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment, wearing PPE as required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
