  • [On-site] Rack, cable, and label servers or storage equipment (power, network, management) per provided engineering standards/runbooks; photograph completed cabling if requested.
  • [On-site] Perform physical patching changes at the rack (move/replace network cables, verify link lights) exactly as directed by engineering/network teams.
  • [On-site] Attach laptop/console cable or connect to KVM/iDRAC/iLO console and relay screen output to engineering during troubleshooting.
  • [On-site] Verify and report hardware status indicators (LEDs/alarms), slot locations, and port identifiers on servers and storage shelves as requested.
  • [On-site] Reseat or replace hot-swappable components (e.g., disk drives, power supplies, fans, SFPs) under explicit engineering direction and within approved change windows.
  • [On-site] Assist with storage break/fix by pulling/replacing failed drives and confirming correct bay/serial number before and after replacement, at the storage engineer’s direction.
