Desktop Technician
- [On-site] Deploy, install, and configure end-user devices (desktops, laptops, thin clients, monitors, docking stations, peripherals) including imaging/provisioning and asset tagging.
- [Remote] Provide Tier 1/2 support for hardware/software issues; diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests within SLA.
- [Hybrid] Troubleshoot Windows issues (user profile, applications, printing, performance, connectivity) using remote tools and on-site support as needed.
- [Remote] Configure and support endpoint management tooling (e.g., Intune/SCCM or equivalent): compliance policies, software deployment, and update rings.
- [Remote] Manage user access and device enrollment tasks (password resets, MFA assistance, device registration) per IT policies and security requirements.
- [On-site] Perform break/fix hardware repair and replacement (e.g., RAM/SSD swaps, battery replacement where applicable) and coordinate vendor warranty/RMA service.
- [Hybrid] Support device lifecycle activities: refreshes, reassignments, secure wipe/decommission, and e-waste disposition following approved processes.
- [Remote] Install, update, and troubleshoot standard applications; maintain software catalogs and validate license compliance where required.
- [Remote] Apply endpoint security standards (encryption, EDR/AV agent health, patch compliance) and remediate findings in coordination with security teams.
- [Remote] Document work performed and maintain accurate inventory/CMDB records; create and update knowledge articles and end-user guides.
- [On-site] Provide hands-on end-user assistance (desk-side support, new-hire setups, device pickups/returns) and deliver basic user training as needed.
