Role Overview
This position sits within the Data Quality team supporting the Merchant Line of Business (LOB). The team is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, integrity, lineage, and reliability across critical merchant and enterprise payment platforms.
Required Qualifications

Strong experience within the Hadoop ecosystem, including:

HQL

Spark / PySpark

Hive / Impala

Job orchestration and scheduling frameworks

Solid foundation in data modeling, ETL development, and database design, including:

Advanced SQL

Shell scripting
-
Informatica or DataStage
-

Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, including:

Source-to-target data mapping

Data lineage documentation

Data quality rule implementation
-

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to:

Debug complex data issues across distributed systems

Perform root cause analysis

Communicate findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within Bank of America or broader Financial Services (FS) environments

Background in Merchant Services or Enterprise Payments

Exposure to Financial Crimes, Fraud, or AML (Anti-Money Laundering) domains
