A global company that conducts background screenings had been using an old, very manual process to perform each background check. The process consisted of 60 percent research time, which was labor-intensive and time-consuming. Actual validation took 40 percent of the process. Since each client had its own standard operating procedures, the company found it difficult to onboard new clients using the manual processes.
Experis assessed the client’s existing processes to determine how and where automation could improve performance overall. We examined each process along the path to complete a background check, including the research, call, verify, and update steps.
Based on findings from the assessment, Experis implemented an intelligent automation system to optimize the existing model. We created online, research, and standard operating procedure bots to create a new, optimized and automated process.
Replacing heavy, time-consuming manual processes with automated processes brought value to the client with increases in productivity and capacity overall:
- Same day closures improved to 65 percent
- Time and effort spent reduced 35 percent
- Productivity increased 109 percent
- “Unable to verify” records shrunk from 11 percent to less than 9 percent
Also, these new processes helped the client increase its revenue base with improved client start-up time.
