The client, a software provider to the property and casualty insurance industry, needed to quickly establish a mobile testing QA team to obtain immediate results for a consumer-facing mobile application a third party was developing. The mobile application had previously only been tested by the client’s CTO and by the third-party developers coding the application; it required a more formal QA process to accommodate dynamic design changes and Agile development. The client needed better product quality for its customer base to use the mobile app.
Experis built a team of mobile application QA testing experts in the Dallas, Texas area for the client’s project. The QA team provided all levels of testing, including feature, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing as an ongoing service to the client. The QA team established best processes and practices, following an Agile framework. They adapted to numerous client process and development changes, characteristic in a fluid, rapidly changing business environment.
In addition to manually testing the mobile application, the QA team performed data validation testing. The team assisted the client with mobile automation tool selection and established a proof-of-concept automation plan. The automation scripts were used for smoke testing developer builds and provided repeatable, timely results to the development team.
- Support in all areas of testing and QA for the mobile application, resulting in stable releases of the application for internal and external customers
- Flexible processes and test functions to meet the client’s needs
- A proof of concept automation plan for Android and iOS mobile applications, giving the client an option to increase the quality of its code and repeatable test results for nightly builds.
