Software Development Engineer

Our client, Applied Sciences is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be part of the Applied Sciences organization supporting model development and training workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience, strong Python automation skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex build and deployment issues while improving reliability and developer productivity.

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA - Onsite 

Pay Range: 41.97 - $45.hr on Experis W2(Benefits/PTO/401k)

 

What's the Job?

• Design, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines that support software development and delivery.
• Automate software build, test, validation, packaging, deployment, and release processes to improve consistency and reduce risk.
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools for engineering and operational workflows.
• Provision, configure, and maintain Azure cloud resources and development environments used by the team.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and health checks.

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or build/release engineering.
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent technologies.
