Lab Tech Jr.

Job Title: Lab Tech Jr. 
Location: Gretna, LA (100% Onsite)
Pay Range: $15/hr to $19/hr. W2

What's the Job?

• Operate and support screening instruments used for initial analysis of urine and oral fluid specimens for substances of abuse in accordance with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Perform initial review of test results for donor specimens and QC samples, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Conduct testing using refractometers and pH meters, following established laboratory procedures
• Apply knowledge of screening and specimen validity test methods (including EIA, CEDIA, ELISA, refractometers, and pH meter) to support reliable screening outcomes
• Troubleshoot screening instrument issues and follow established processes to maintain consistent, compliant operations

What's Needed?

• BS degree in Chemistry or Biology
• Ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds and perform full body movement as required by laboratory workflows
• Vision and hearing corrected to meet minimum acceptable norms
• Math and reasoning ability to develop, follow, and communicate laboratory procedures and reports
• Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, Federal (49 CFR Part 40), and CAP-FDT guidelines, and to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
