What's the Job?

- Facilitate workgroups for design options, competency validation, scenario/test script development, and user acceptance review support to ensure safe, effective implementations.
What's Needed?
- Extensive Epic experience in implementation, optimization, and adoption, with a foundational understanding of Epic configurations and clinical workflows (day-to-day technical work is not required).
- Director-level leadership experience managing teams and operations, including leading through significant workflow changes and technological transitions.
- Clinical background preferred (such as nursing or pharmacy) to strengthen partnership with clinicians, though it is not strictly required.
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records and the ability to navigate EMRs (Epic), including understanding of data collected and used in clinical settings.
- Experience with healthcare/clinical terminologies and code sets used in measure value sets, including SNOMED CT™, LOINC, ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT4/HCPCS, RxNorm, CVX, and other relevant code systems.
What's in it for me?
- Opportunity to lead a sizable CI team and directly influence inpatient workflow optimization and adoption outcomes.
- Chance to partner with executive clinical leadership and strengthen patient care, patient safety, user satisfaction, clinical productivity, and quality outcomes.
- Motivating interim leadership role with potential to transition into a permanent position if the fit is right.
- Structured project timeline beginning as a three-month contract intended to fill a vacancy, with the possibility of longer-term continuity.
- Engagement in high-priority Epic optimization and clinical informatics initiatives across multiple hospital locations.
