Our client, a leading telecommunications and networking technology organization, is seeking a Network Consulting Engineer to join their team. As a Network Consulting Engineer, you will be part of the Professional Services team supporting customer network transformation and optical networking initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset that will align successfully within the organization.

Pay:  $55 per hour W2
What's the Job?

• Design, implement, and optimize Cisco networking and optical transport solutions for enterprise and service provider customers.
• Work directly with customers to plan, configure, troubleshoot, and validate Cisco technologies and network architectures.
• Support integration, deployment, and service assurance activities while aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
• Build and execute lab simulations to validate designs, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure interoperability.
• Develop technical documentation, customer deliverables, knowledge-transfer materials, and implementation guides.

• Experience with Cisco IOS-XR and/or IOS-XE networking platforms.
• Knowledge of WDM, ROADM, optical transport technologies, and transponder solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco NCS1000 and NCS2000 product families.
• Strong troubleshooting and network validation skills within complex networking environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.

1. Cisco IOS-XE hands-on experience (Platforms: NCS4200, ASR9K).
2. Service Provider technologies / Protocols: not limited to OSPF 3, MPLS, L3VPN, L2VPN, EPVN, BGP, RR, BFD. Networking Troubleshooting skills at L1/L2/L3.
3. Scripting languages (TCL, Python, Bash, EEM) experience

1. Familiarity with Hardware/software disaggregation (Whitebox + NOS).
2. Experience with network design, solution validation, and testing tools such as IXIA and Spirent.
3. Experience supporting technical pre-sales or architecture discussions.
4. Background in network automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
5. OpenStack Fundamentals familiarity.
6. Monitoring Tools experience (i.e., Solarwinds, Ink).
7. Active Cisco certification.
