Senior Ellucian Banner Finance Functional Consultant (SME)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Ellucian Banner Finance Functional Consultant (SME) on a part time basis. You will play a vital role in optimizing financial processes and system configurations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset, ensuring successful integration and support within a diverse organizational environment.

Job Title:Senior Ellucian Banner Finance Functional Consultant (SME)

Location:Remote

Pay Range:$52.00 to $67.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Assess current Banner Finance configurations, workflows, and business processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Identify functional gaps, configuration issues, and process inefficiencies to enhance system performance.
• Troubleshoot complex Banner Finance issues, determine root causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Provide actionable recommendations for process optimization and system utilization enhancements.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to support issue resolution, stakeholder interviews, and knowledge transfer.

What's Needed?

• Extensive hands-on experience with Ellucian Banner Finance modules and configurations.
• Strong expertise in Banner Finance functions such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Budgeting, and Fiscal Year-End Processing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex functional issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Experience supporting legacy configurations, customizations, and manual workarounds.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and consulting skills, with prior experience in higher education environments preferred.
