Our client, a leading organization in the gaming and technology industry, is seeking a Lab/Test Engineer 2 to join their team. As a Lab/Test Engineer 2, you will be part of the Hardware Engineering and R&D department supporting Xbox Studios Quality projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, independence, and technical expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab/Test Engineer 2
Location: onsite in Redmond, WA
Pay Range: $21.59 - $23.31

What's the Job?

  • Support day-to-day operation of the automation lab and maintain reliable automated test execution across supported Xbox Studios Quality projects.
  • Work directly with Xbox and PS5 development kits, start and monitor automation runs, troubleshoot lab and device issues.
  • Perform physical device interventions, including power cycling and hard reboots.
  • Connect remotely to lab devices and collaborate with services for crash monitoring and investigation.
  • Investigate automation, connectivity, account, and environment failures to ensure consistent lab availability and automation output.

What's Needed?

  • 2-4+ years of hands-on experience supporting hardware or console testing labs.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting automated test environments.
  • Familiarity with Xbox and PS5 development/test kits or comparable console/device testing.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
