EHS Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the chemical manufacturing industry, is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs and regulatory compliance initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to product stewardship, sustainability, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Job Title: EHS Specialist

Location: Maplewood, MN (100% Onsite) (LOCAL ONLY)

Pay Rate: $25/HR + Benefits

Contract Duration: 12-Months W2 Contract (No C2C)

Job Function:

• Support regulatory compliance, life cycle management, and sustainability efforts for both new and existing products
• Assist with customer response processes, including drafting standardized communications
• Participate in annual product EHS testing programs (sample collection, preparation, and shipping)
• Maintain documentation related to risk assessment for human health and environmental impact
• Support the development of TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) compliance plans
• Handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across various levels, both locally and globally

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and customer engagement abilities
• Experience working in team-based and cross-functional environments
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive sample preparation tasks
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well both independently and within teams
