Desktop Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the research and innovation sector, is seeking a Desktop Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Technician, you will be part of the IT Support team supporting the campus community. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Clark, NJ

Pay Range:$25 -27/hr 

What's the Job?

• Provide face-to-face technical support at the IT Kiosk, assisting employees with hardware and software issues.
• Configure, image, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and conference room equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot standard software including Windows 11, Mac OS, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Office 365.
• Support AV equipment, network printers, and peripherals, ensuring seamless conference room operations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3-5 years of proven experience as a Desktop Support Analyst.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows 11 and Mac OS environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and endpoint security protocols.
